The final pencils for the Aftermath art piece. I don’t xerox up my roughs and then pencil over them anymore. I use the rough; at the size I drew it, as reference and start from scratch. There a couple reasons I don’t… the penciling process feels more like tracing and less like drawing to me. This is not as fun as drawing and the pencils never capture that joy of exploring that the rough sketch has. Also I feel that drawing it over is like doing push-ups and sit-ups, I get stronger as an artist. Personally I have seen a huge change in how much easier drawing is for me now versus then.
